1. We’re super excited to greet this new season with the first wall as a part of our Savage Habbit murals project endeavor which was painted by Li-Hill. Competition amongst humans has been around for thousands of years and with this new series that Li-Hill has been recently working on he references the Olympics as the new form of competition that is more about capitalism and economics then competing itself. Painted in the heart of downtown Jersey City, NJ he mimicked the high speed motion of a Ping Pong player, a sport in which perfection is bred from an early age and winning means power to the representing country. Using freehand fluid techniques he created the illusion and aura of movement surrounding the player in action and beautifully blocked off it off with colors for a subtly cool variation in layers. We’re absolutely thrilled to have been able to work with him and have this piece of art in our streets, so be sure to check out our Flickr for all the progress and detail shots of this brilliant piece.
