A rather spontaneous idea of creating a public sculpture out of a tree trunk in Islington, London. A carving that will unfortunately be cut down by the council on Feb 4th 2013.

This year I hung 35 trees side by side by side in an unused space under the BQE in Williamsburg that is fenced off from the public, creating an unexpected and enchanting presence in an otherwise drab stretch of pavement under the highway.

Exhausted by the numerous expeditions, körl the sailor begins to wander. Wave after wave, drink after drink, all seems to sink into defeat. Roaming, fleeing civilization, he gets drunk and gets lost, all the way to this island never seen before. Some strange ships lays on the coast. Then, Korl, alone, drunk and hopeless, picks up his bottle, holds it tightly and sails to this ship which triggers something strange in his guts…
